I love standing on this mat. It's silky and has a little bit of a "squish" to it, your bare feet will love it.
Fique is a strong, durable fiber that is obtained from the leaves of a succulent tropical American plant. Some compare it to jute, except from my point of view, jute is rough and almost "hariy", where fique has a silkier smooth texture that doesn't rub off or look fuzzy.
This mat can be used as a door mat or bath mat. Hand crafted in Colombia, this collection combines the heritage of hand weaving with modern design. Knowledge of hand weaving has been passed down for generations at the women-led artisan's workshop, giving these products incomparable craftsmanship, quality and durability.

USE AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Designed to be used indoors or outdoors. If you do use it outdoors please keep it in a covered area, like a porch, mud room, or garage door entry. It is not designed to be fully exposed to the elements. It's also a great bath mat!
Fique is a sturdy natural fiber. Best cleaned with a good shake.
A rug pad can be placed underneath for extra cushion and to keep the rug in place.
